About this Trail
Open appx dawn to dusk. Trailhead parking area holds about 12 cars. Only restrooms are at trailhead. You can access this trail from the Timucuan and Spanish Marsh trails! A nice walk in the woods and a beautiful view of the marsh on a raised platform over Round Marsh.Directions to Trailhead (or put-in on water trails)
From I-95 south of Jacksonville: Traveling up the east coast of Florida from the south via Interstate 95, leave I-95 at Florida Route 9A (Exit #337). Follow 9A to Monument Road. Exit at Monument Road, follow the brown signs to the right, and travel to Fort Caroline Road. Turn right. It is less than one mile to the Theodore Roosevelt Area; the entrance will be on your left.Notes on Difficulty Rating
Wide and easy trail, over ten feet wide on main trail. Bikes welcome on main trail only, which is sandy in spots and there are multiple tree roots. Signage is good. Benches at 1/4 mile, creek bridge, graveyard, house site, and more.
